HW4.6

REAGAN’S POLICIES OF LOWERING TAXES, AND CUTTING SPENDING ON SPCIAL PROGRAM IN THE 1980’S FIT HIS “BRAND” OF CONSERVATISM.

Reagan’s policy of lowering taxes fits his promise in 1980s; in his Supply-Side Economic Theory, he increased the supply by lowering the taxes. Also, he signed a bill in August 1981 that cut federal taxes by 25% over a three year period. (HA!)

Furthermore, cuts in social spending on social program fit his promises. He used “Block Grants” to pay for each state’s social program which were connected to health, education, and welfare to states. (HA!)
